Amma

There a million instances where I have wanted to express my adoration and love for amma, but could never bring my self to do it.Blame it on the way we were brought up, boys were not encouraged to emote expressively and add to it hostel life among friends since I started studying.

Whatever be the reasons I am never able to hug my amma and say - Amma I love you, and you're the only one who has never let me down ever. The pathetic side to this entire thing is that I have absolutely no problem with showing Anger with her. Can get real snappy at times.

After the bout of rage I would feel so crappy about myself and now I have improved in that I go out call her on phone and apologize.

Its gonna be my project. Project happy mummy!!! This time around I will control my anger and for once try to not be pig headed about all the small things. And one of these days I'm gonna hug Amma and tell her how important she is to me. One of these days..

And the starting point to all this thoughts? After two years of staying with me she is moving back and only now has it struck me as to how important she is to me!! Sigh - we guys seem to always take the women in our lives for granted and only realize after its too late.

Well not any more in Mani's life. The change has begun!!!

  1. Yeah man! A warm hug is the least we can give to our mother to thank her enough for all that they mean and do for us! I'm going to do that too... real soon! Thanks man!
