A writers job

The worst thing that can happen to a writer is the inability to be moved or inspired or amused by life's activities. The difference between a writer and non writer is that, a non writer sees the world as it is, a car is a car - that's it. A writer sees the car as a mechanical marvel, or as a environmental hazard, maybe as a medium of showcasing colour - a car is never just a car, it is always something more.

So does that mean that a writer is just a dreamer? No, a writer chooses to see the world in words and descriptions. She sees the things that people overlook. She then shares it with the world so that they may share what she has seen, heard, felt. She helps the people enjoy the world and make them awake and aware of the beautiful things that they miss out.

A writers only tools are observation and imagination. A writers burning desire is to share with the world what she has seen. To let the world share her excitement, sorrow and joy. A writers duty to the world is not entertainment - in my heart a writers job is that of a tour guide. They take readers on tours of places, other peoples minds, foreign lands, the writers own minds. And a writers job is to fascinate and make one gasp and smile and laugh and cry... And that is the success of a writer..
